Christmas is over … The toys are in … We think what might have been.
The hour of love … The night of passion … That was spent upon the shores of fashion.
The nights of old … The days of yore … We see what’s gone before.
Reunions missed … Face turned away … Chances lost or gone astray.
The New Year comes … Promises new … Having our life gives hope anew.
Time to change … Places to go … Time to redeem our soul.
What was missing, recovered … What was lost, now found … Where our step faltered, now we bound.
A time of hope … A time of joy … Lest we forget, we shall destroy.
